is a smart way to start a business because you don't have to invest in costly inventory. You sell the products online, get the payment via credit card processing, then forward the order to a supplier who ships it out. THE GENERAL DROPSHIP PROCESS:

Step 1:
Choose a product to sell. The very first step in any sales process is deciding what product to sell.

Step 2:
Set up an account with a company like 21st Century Organics. Some drop shipping companies may require a tax ID and a business license. 21st Century Organics (21st CO) requires that you have a valid federal tax ID or social security number (international exceptions apply.)

Step 3:
Advertise the product for sale on your own web site (e-commerce enabled) or eBay or wherever else you are selling. Now that you have your supplier lined up and you know that the product is in stock, it's time to make a sale. This is where your site comes in, or maybe you are using an eBay auction. Since you know what you must pay the dropshipper for the product, you also know what minimum amount you will take for the product.

Step 4:
The product sells. We highly recommend that drop ship sellers use Visa, Mastercard, PayPal or some other online processor to accept instant payments. This allows the customer to pay you faster, which lets you place the order with the dropshipper faster, which gets the product to your customer faster.

Step 6:
Place the order with us. With 21st CO, you pay 40% off the retail price and do nothing more than collect money. We handle the rest. Once your customer pays you, you should contact us immediately to order the product on your customer's behalf. We then ship the order to your customer under your company name and address, with a receipt customised to your business name and details. There is absolutely no mention of our name anywhere (except on the product of course.)

Step 7:
Follow up after the sale. This is where many new e-business entrepreneurs drop the ball. Just because your customer has paid you and you've placed the order with the dropshipper, does not mean that you are out of the loop. Quite the contrary: If there are problems with the order, you are the one that will be held responsible in the eyes of your customer.

It's best to be proactive in your customer relations. Follow up with customers to let them know when a specific item has been shipped. Offer yourself as the personal contact for any issues that may arise. This is also a great way to sell customers more products. Invite them to check out your eBay store or Web site, if you have one.

Will I be starting my own company?

You can! If you're just going to sell on the internet or at flea markets, you probably don't have to. But if you're going to start a catalog or mail order business, you'll want to look like a professional company. Choose a business name that suits you (i.e. ABC Gift Company). You'll want to register for a business license in your in your city or county, and get a Fictitious Business Name. Contact your local City Hall for more information.

Do I need any licenses?

You probably want to get a seller's permit. A seller's permit allows you to collect sales tax on what you sell. You only have to collect the tax on sales made to people who live in your own state. They are generally free and very easy to get. You should contact your State Tax Board for more information. Also, if you live in Nevada and have a seller's permit, you can buy from us without paying sales tax. We do not collect sales if you live in any other state besides Nevada, regardless of whether you have a seller's permit.

Can I really order as little as one product?


You sure can! There is no minimum ...in fact, we're one of the few companies we know of that doesn't have a service charge on small orders, or charge you extra to drop-ship your products, or charge you shipping over $20! Your drop shipping price is easy to calculate. You pay 40% off the listed retail price.

How are products shipped?

shippingProducts are shipped standard via USPS first class, most with delivery confirmation. We ship in-stock orders out within 48 hours (most same day.) Shipping times average 2-5 days. Priority delivery is 2-3 days and overnight is 1-2 days.  All shipping times are from date of shipping not from date of order.


We ship directly to your customer and put your business name on your customized sales receipt. The address label will say "Customer Service" with our return address on it (this way your customer can make returns to us without knowing who we are while at the same time saving you the cost of shipping back to us). All prices on the sales receipt will reflect our retail prices and shipping fees unless you specify otherwise in the comment box at point of sale. There is no additional charge for drop shipping. You pay just the normal shipping charges, if they apply.

How much can I charge my customers?

We maintain strict pricing rules as we do not encourage price wars and believe our products are worth every penny. You are allowed to vary our retail prices according to your market, but you MAY NOT sell any product for less than 80% of our listed retail price (from our web site.) For example if you sell Jumpstart 90 capsule bottles, listed as $49.95, you may not sell for below $40. Any vendor found selling for lower prices will not be supplied.

How do I know how much to charge my customers for shipping?

Another 21st advantage - Free shipping on all orders over $20!! Use it to add to your bottom line or to entice your customers.  For orders under $20, we use the shipping table scripts from the USPS to calculate precise postage rates, so if you plan to add a shipping algorithm to your web commerce system, you'll need our product shipping weights and whatever method you use to access the USPS shipping tables. Use your drop shipper admin control area to get our products data feed or to calculate shipping on orders.

Do you provide online tracking numbers?

Most USPS orders can be tracked online from the USPS postal site. Delivery confirmation is only available on packages thicker than 1.25 inches, so not all packages can be tracked, but most orders do fit that condition.  A shipping confirmation email is sent to the email associated with the order with relevant tracking data enclosed.

If I sell through online auctions, how do I know you won't run out of stock?

We carry plenty of stock at all times, but in the unlikely case that we are out for any reason, all customers will be notified by email at their registered email address and at the drop ship admin area. We do have some products that are hard to keep stock of due to the esoteric or hard to get in quantity ingredients, but you will always get warning and we are hardly ever out of stock for more than a few days.

How do you handle returns / exchanges?

Because our products really work, and repeat sales prove this, refunds generally do not occur. We will exchange products if there is some reason, but in for the most part this is not an issue.

The bottom line is we want to keep you and your customers happy and provide top-notch service so that you always look good to your customers. To that extent, we do everything possible to quickly rectify any problem order. There will always be times when refunds are required and we guarantee satisfaction.

How do I place an order?

- Log in first at our web site and place your order directly from the online
shopping system, or through your special drop shipper admin control area. Your wholesaler/drop-shipping price will be automatically calculated at check out stage.

- Fax your order form to our fax.

- Phone your order in to our office toll-free.

- Email your formatted order data feed to us for bulk processing. (ask for more details.)

For your convience, you can pay by credit card, paypal, personal check, cashier's check or money order.

How long does it take to receive an order?


We process and ship orders within 48 hours via USPS first class mail with delivery confirmation tracking. Orders typically arrive within 3-5 days.


Do you charge money for membership?


We don't require a minimum order, or even charge a service charge for small orders or drop ship orders. There are no annual dues, renewal fees or hidden charges of any kind. Drop Shipping through us is completely free. You pay only normal charges for ordering products and shipping is FREE over $20.


Is this available outside of the United States?


We handle drop shipping for customers all over the world. But charges for shipping are all based from the USA, so our shipping fees may be high for people selling within their own countries, although our international rates are set low on purpose to counter this.
